found a Catholic babtism but fathers name was Michael

Hi, thanks for that, however I have this info and that of his marriage, but that is all. Nobody seems to know when he arrived in South Africa and from where. I have tried tracing through Ireland genealogy but no one has found anything. Granted a large number of document were lost during the uprising.
There is a possibility that he had a sister, Eliza, who got married on the same day at the same church and it looks like Michaels signature is the same. They may have changed their name, may have jumped ship, anything is possible.
There is also no mention of where he is buried. It is as though he doesn't want to be remembered or known.
