My birth name was Irene Renee Lara. I'm looking for family members that are connected to Magdaleno Castillo,his daughter was my grandmother and her name was Aurora Castillo and her mother name was Isabel Palma. I was told my grandmother was a product of an affair that my great granfather had. My grandma's mother died when my grandma was very young and she had to go live with her father who is my great grandpa. He was married with other children when my grandma went to live with them and I was told by my grandma she was not welcome by her step-mother because she new my great-grandpa had an affair. When my grandma was about 15 years old she meet and feel in love with one of my great-grandpa workers who worked on his ranch, i believe the year was about 1919 or 1921. Mr grandma was born on Feb 2, 1908. Her future husband was named John Lara from Sonorra, Mexico and he lived in a little village called Ute. I was told by my father that his father was Yaqui Indian and my grandma Aurora was Apache Indian. My great grand father had a ranch in Mineral King,Arizona. My grandpa John Lara died in 1974 in Tulare, California and was buried at Smith Mountain. At the time of death of my grandma she was 94 and died in the of 2002 and buried in Hanford, California. She never said to much of her family. My grandma stated she ran away from home and married my grandpa John and later remarried by the last name of Orozco. Upon her death her name was Aurora Castillo Orozco. I would love to find my family tree and to see if we came from a tribe. My great-grandpa Magdaleno did not live on a reservation, he owned his own land. Hope to hear something soon.
