Researching Flemming/Fleming - Nova Scotia Canada and Stewart/Stuart, New Brunswick, Canada

James Flemming (1741 - 1829) and his wife Isabella Vance (1750 - 1832) arrived in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada on the ship "Hopewell) in 1761. They wintered in Halifax and then moved to the Folly Village (now Glenholme) area in Colchester County in the spring. He was the first British settler to farm this area.
Adam Stewart (1812 - 1875) and his wife Abegail Fardon Stymiest (1813 - 1906) were both born in Tabusintac, Northumberland County, New Brunswick, Canada. Adam's father, Alexander came to Tabusintac area in 1801 aboard the ship "Sarah". I know nothing about Alexander's wife.
I am primarily looking for the ancestors of these people. However, I do have a few holes in the research for the decendants.

Can you give me a little bit more to go on? Perhaps date of birth and death and locations. I gather that James Flemming (1741 - 1829) is the one you are referring to as your grandfathers grandfather. He is the first James in our genealogy but there are many after that. I am trying to pin down which one of the James Flemming's your grandfather was. Hope to hear back from you and maybe we can add more information to both of our genealogy.

I am assuming you are a Fleming male. Have you considered having a Y DNA test at FAMILY TREE DNA. My brother and I have both tested there and we had a cousin match with a Female who thought she was a descendant of a James Fleming/Flemming who moved from Ireland to a place called Fleming's Folly. If this is your line it would be interesting to see if your Y dna signature matches my brother at FTDNA https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/fleming/dna-results
