I would like to find the parents of Alma May Perry, she was the daughter of Annie May Perry( AKA Mahony). Where could I find information on her. She was fostered or given up for adoption in 1915.
It gets confusing as Annie May Mahony was the illegitimate daughter of Ellen Mahony. Later Ellen married Edmund Henry Perry. After this Annie goes by the name of Perry.
I am looking for any information that may link Annie to Alma

lisyloo on 2015-01-08 04:02:38I think you are refering to my Grandmother. Her name was Alma May Perry, born La Rose Street BRUNSWICK May 7, 1915. According to her birth certificate her mother's name was Annie May Perry, no Father recorded. Nan was fostered out to a family in Bendigo by the name of Seebers in Kangaroo Flat when she was approximately 6 weeks old ( although this is not confirmed, just a family belief ). Alma had a long history of being fostered out to work in residences around the bendigo district from approximately 9 - 15 years of age. She met and married a man by the name of Robert Owen THOMAS who was 13 years her senior, and were married in Bendigo in 1935. Alma and Robert have 5 children : Thelma, born 1935 ( died abt 2006), Shirley, born about 1937, Mervyn, born abt 1940 ( died abt 2002 ), Beverley, born 1944, and Margaret - my mother born Jan 29 1947.
Alma May died in 2006 suffering from dementia, and is interred at White Hills Lawn Cemetry in Bendigo.
