STAFF DANCE
... The annual social and dance of the staff of the Auckland Savings Bank took place on Tuesday evening in the bank's social room. An enjoyable time was spent, although there was also a tinge of regret that farewell was being made to Mr Clem BARTLEY (Clement Bartley 1862-1936) on his retirement from the staff.
A song representation competition produced many original efforts and the prizes for the greates number of correct answers were won by Miss Callaghan and Mr Summonds. Miss Callaghan was also awarded the prize for the best lady's effort and Mr Wellbourne the gentlemen's prize.

Several items were rendered by:
Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey, drawing room sketches
Dr Belshaw, songs

After supper dance music was supplied by Reg Morgan's orchestra
