• EADE, Alfred William Seranke Bunn 3 Jan 1878 aged 34 days
• EADE, Eliza (nee Lamb) 25 Feb 1885 aged 51
. Eliza married John William Seranke Bunn Eade (1829-1873) in London. She trained as a nurse in London after the death of her husband. In 1883 she came to NZ with 5 of her 9 children to join 2 sons already here. She worked for the Wellington Ladies' Christian Association as a 'Bible Nurse' her kindly way giving her welcome into hundreds of homes of people in need. She died from blood poisoning following an operation for breast cancer after which a public enquiry was held into the hospital's administration. Having a liking for the ways of the Salvation Army, among whom she had worked in London, she had asked for an army funeral. The procession of more than 200 army members, mostly women, was headed by the army band playing a number of hymns. While valuing her services and much regretting her loss, the Ladies Christian Association, however, pointed out publicly that, though not opposing the army movement, needless to state they were in no way connected with it.

. The Rev James Kennedy B.A., (following written c1897) first minister of the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church, was born at Belfast, Ireland and a graduate of the Royal Irish University. On leaving college he was called to a congregation within a few miles from his native city and was ordained 10 Dec 1872. He had a charge in Randalstown, near Lord O'Neill's Castle, not far from the margin of Lough Neagh, which is known in song and to tourists for its beauty and from this he was translated to Magherafelt, a town in the southern part of County Londonderry. The reverend gentleman came to the Colony per s.s. “Doric,” arriving in Wellington 17 Oct 1884. It was on account of the state of Mrs Elliott's health that the more genial climate of New Zealand was sought. The lady had suffered much from hemorrhage of the lungs and it was hoped the voyage and change would be beneficial, but unfortunately these hopes were not realised. After arrival, Mr Elliott took up work at St. James, Newtown, but the building soon proved too small. It was then proposed that a new church should be erected nearer town, but, as there were some difficulties about this, Mr Elliott resigned. When released from his pastoral care he was induced to commence services as described above and his ministrations have been most successful.

20 Aug 1894 An inquest was held at the Morgue on Saturday afternoon (18th) by Mr Ashcroft, District Coroner, as to the death of William George Emeny, whose body was recovered from the harbour on the same morning. Mr J. H. Hutchens was foreman of the jury. The body was seen floating in the harbour near the Star Boating Club's shed by a young man named Jas. Robert Flan, who brought it ashore, where it was taken charge of by Constable Murphy. Subsequently it was identified by William G. Emeny, a son of the deceased, who stated that his father had been missing since the 31st ult., at which time he was sober - in fact, he never drank. Since his disappearance witness' mother, who resided in Carterton, had caused enquiries to be made as to his whereabouts, but without avail. There was nothing, so far as the witness was aware of, that would lead to the supposition that his father had committed suicide. The deceased's life was insured for £250 (2012 equivalent of $45,300) and his age was 56 years. The jury returned a verdict of Found Drowned
