during the early 1900s it was normal practise for many people to publish their comings and goings in the local newspapers to let their friends and families know what they were up to
- really, this is just the equivalent of todays Facebook !!

Nurse FLETCHER leaves Wellington tonight on a months holiday trip to Lake Wakatipu

Dr Elizabeth GUNN, who has been staying at Marton, has returned to Wellington
It was Dr Elizabeth DUNN, superintendent of the Purity Department of the W.C.T.U., not Dr Eliabeth GUNN, who left on Thursday for Gisborne to attend the annual convention of the W.C.T.U.
