My great, great grandfather Matthew (Matt) Guerin married Sarah (Sally) Rosney on October 10, 1856 in Sacred Heart Church in Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland. They had six children: 1) Daniel b. October 19, 1858, married Margaret Griffin on September 15, 1896, and died May 17, 1922 in Templemore (Johns Lane); 2) Richard Guerin b. June 5, 1864, married Honora Brolan on April 14, 1893, and died December 12, 1914 in Baltimore, Maryland (my great grandfather); 3) Mary b. August 15, 1866, married (?) Sinnott and died (?-date) in Baltimore, Maryland; 4) Michael b. February 19, 1872; 5) Sarah b. October 15, 1874; and Thomas b. March (?-day), 1876. Anyone whose family intersects these listed individuals is welcome to contact me to compare additional information about our common GUERIN ancestry.

Since my last post on November 10, 2007, I have discovered some additional information about my deceased Guerin ancestors in Templemore, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. My great, great grandfather Matthew Guerin died on January 10, 1895 at age 75, which would put his estimated birth year around 1920. His wife, Sarah (Rosney) Guerin died in 1911 at age 73, which would put her estimated birth year around 1838. I discovered in the 1911 Irish Census that they had thirteen children but only six were still living in 1911, which is probably due in part to the harsh times in Ireland during this period. In addition to the six children named in my 2007 posting, I have since discovered two additional sons, James (born around 1860) and William (born in 1871). If any Guerin family researchers have family in Tipperary with these names, I'd like to compare our geneological notes and findings. Regards, Ken Guerin
