My family Knowledge begins with a John Hoy Born ca 1700 on the Isle of Hoy. His son David was born Ca 1780 in Antrim Ireland. He married Mary Todd. William Jr. b 1798 came to Canada around 1820. His wife was Elizabeth Hanes or Hines. William Jr. was born in Ont. 1823 and married Ann Graham from Antrim Ire. Samuel b 1850 m Catherine O'Marra. William James b 1872 Married Maria Aris, John E. b 1907 m Maude Johnston{ my parents] my site is on ancestry. My Hoy Roots Branches & Twigs. I am in the process of compiling. Bernice

My grandfather was William HOY, moved to Ireland and my mother was KATHLEEN HOY. I am interested if anyone can help me find any relatives. Yvonne Roberts

One of my ancestral lines is also HOY from Ireland ... emigrated to Australia and the name became HOEY.

William Hoy was, I believe, my great great Grandfather on my father's side. My daughter is Kathleen Hoy after one of my ancestors. My great grandfather was Thomas Hoy.
