I a descendant of Thomas Peach ( son of John Robert & Bridget).Thomas married a Christina Matilda ( surname unknown to me ) both buried Echuca 1931. My gf was Tomas & Matilda's son John Loftus Peach. John L Peach married Ruby Hogan on 1-4-1931 and their children were John Loftus(1931-1972), Elizabeth May(1932-1970) and Jean Louise(1935-). I'm the son of Elizabeth May & James Michael St John( 1929-1980). I'm still reseaching but wonder if you have any info on John L's brother's/ sisters?? Of note is that within my family ( and I believe in other Peaches of this line) the name of Loftus appears in every generation. My brother bear a middle name of Loftus. I'm on the right track I think, so any help you can give would be great. Ta, Michael

Thomas married Matilda Christina SHAW in 1903. Matilda was born in Collingwood in 1880, to parents Norman SHAW and Elizabeth MILLER.
I don't have anything posted for Thomas and Matilda (aka Christina) but they had several children in the Inglewood and Bridgewater area. I will have to go through my mountain of research notes and will let you know when I have put something together for you.

I have found what seems to be a 10th child of John Robert Peach & Bridget Loftus, as follows,

Born 1854 Belfast ( now Port Fairy ), Victoria.
Parents: John Robert Peach & Bridget Loftus.
Married: 1882 @ Digger, Vic to Mary Ann Wilson, daughter of William Wilson & Eliza Howard.
Children of Robert & Mary,
Sarah Jane born 1883
Eliza Maud Mary 1885
Victoria Adelaide 1887
Milliam Robert Howard 1890
Sylvia Mable P Loftus 1896 ( theres that Loftus name appearing again! )
Irene Myrtle P Daphne 1899.
All born in Horsham, Vic.
Robert died 23/3/1917 @ Horsham, Mary died 30/9/1934 @ Footscray, Vic.
Will need to verify it with Victorian BDM's but pretty sure it's the 10th child.

You are correct about Robert. I came across him in the death records but was unable to locate his birth. Going by his age at death he was born circa 1854, and the marriage records gave his birth place as Belfast. I will look at a few more records and update during the day. Glad someone is on the ball.
Hutcho on 2017-03-16 05:13:37Hi all. I've been looking for information about Bridget (Loftus) Peach and her descendants. She is buried in the Donald cemetery in an unmarked grave. We will be unveiling a memorial marker in May 2017 and have invited as many of her bloodline as we have been able to locate. At the time of her passing she was staying with her daughter Mary Ann Peach and husband Patrick Keane and I have not been able to find out where they went. I can't find records of any surviving children either.

Still trying to locate Patrick's death. The spelling of the surname appears in the records as KEAN and KEANE. Not knowing Patrick's birth year or parents names could make finding his death difficult but will do a few more searches tomorrow.

LeeThel on 2021-05-31 01:19:55Mary Ann and Patrick are my great grandparents. Patrick was born County Clare Ireland circa 1856 and died 1941. Their daughter Lillian is my grandmother. I find her listed as Lillian Laura and Lillian Daphne. I always knew her as Lillian Laura. She married Frederick Thomas Crooks. They initially lived in Collingwood
Interestingly she had a very close sister Kathleen, they lived next door to each other in Heidelberg. I was always told that there was only the two of them! Obviously they had a few more siblings. Kathleen was married to Denis Foley, but I struggle to find mention of Kathleen in children listed for Patrick and Mary Anne
Lillian and Fred had 6 children: Thelma- ( died at young age of dypyheria) Ronald, Alan ( my father), John, Peter and Robert( had down syndrome) Have a few more details if anyone interested.

There were two deaths for Patrick KEANE recorded in 1941. The Patrick that died in Fitzroy in 1941 aged 79 years may be him. His birth place was given as NEWLYN.
The Kathleen KEANE married to Denis FOLEY in 1922 was born 1894 in Dunolly, Victoria. Her birth was registered as Catherine Bridget KEAN. She never used the name Catherine and went by the name of Kathleen.
