John SOUTHAM born circa 1779 in Northants

Looking for the parents of John Southam who was born in 1779/1781 who married Sarah Garratt at Bow Brickhill in 1811. They lived there and had the first two children and then the remaining children were born in Syresham. The child i am descended from was called Emmanuel Southam which was quite a different name in our family.
If anyone can help I would be really grateful as we are going round in circles trying to find his parents.

plan321 on 2011-12-16 20:56:50hi i have a John Southam on my tree who was born in 1779 in Shipston on Stour. He died in 1826. Parents were John Southam born 1738 born loxley and Mary Haines. Hope it is the same John you were looking for.

He was married to Jemmima Jordan in Evenly Northants, lived and worked in Biddlesden/Syresham and died in Biddlesden 15 5 1908. just started to look for John Southam b. 1779 stowe bucks as it is close by where I live. I'm interested to know more about your tree.

Yes it is the same family. John Southam is causing problems for a lot of people, we have struggled to find him. I have got the marriage lines where he married Sarah Garratt in Bow Brickhill which a lady in Bucks kindly got for me. I visited Evenly recently, what a fabulous place.
Which son of Emmanuel are you descended from then I can perhaps fill in gaps for you.

It's my husband who is decended from Emmanuel. It was his daughter Emma bap. 10 6 1855 died 19 8 1943 married to Andrew John Lovell 8 4 1875 his dates.. 5 11 1851 - 9 5 1889. They lived at Biddelsden near Syresham.

Apologies, i have not done anything on my family tree since i last emailed, last year was a bit hectic with new grandchild, weddings, new job etc. My aunt and i usually try and come down to buck/northants looking at family places but she was unwell so didnt manage to get down. Hope to come over this year.
Did yuo have any luck with John Southam? I am beginning to wonder if he existed!!!
