John Thomas born in 1827 and died Jan. 1900 in Logan County, Kentucky. He and his wife Nancy Minerva Whitsett married in Smith County, Tennessee in 1848 and had 6 children. John Wesley, Sarah, Susan, Leander, William and Orndorff. Four of the six children were born in Smith County, Tennessee and the other two in Logan County, Kentucky. I have had trouble finding any information regarding time in Smith County,Tennessee or before that. I can track through the 1850 census in Smith County, Tennessee to Logan County, Kentucky until his death in Jan. 1900. I have recently learned his middle initial might be A. Not a lot of information prior to Kentucky to go on.
