I have some MCGOWAN families in my tree, emigrants from Co.Leitrim, Ireland to Australia, settled mostly in Gulgong (appear also in Dubbo and Gilgandra), New South Wales.
Namely Martin MCGOWAN 1841-1913 and wife Catherine unknown 1854-1907, with children John b1872, James b1874, Agnes# b1876, Ellen b1878, Rose b1880, Patrick b1882, and Catherine b1884.
#This Agnes MCGOWAN was born 1876 Gulgong NSW, married 1897 Gulgong NSW Henry MARCHANT C1876-1930. Agnes MARCHANT nee MCGOWAN died 1936 Dubbo, 3 children Catherine, Maud & Reginald.
