Edward CONYNGHAM was born in Dublin Ireland c1806. Arr Sydney as free settler on the Brig 'Ann' 8th July 1829. However he originally left Ireland on the Barque 'Letitia" ( on 29 Jul 1828) which was wrecked off the Cap de Verde Islands in the Atlantic. His occupation given as 'wireworker'.

Married Mary Anne MARSHALL 11 Jan 1830 in Sydney. Believed to be brother to George who arr NSW on 6 Dec 1832 on 'Lavinia'. Another brother Patrick (arr. Per ?Phoenix? 1828) in Sydney. Their death certs say ?parents unknown?. Info sought re connection to any family tree in Ireland or elsewhere. Edward?s eldest son was named George which may also be the name of his father.
