Dear Readers,

Below are names of men who signed a work agreement in 1755. They agreed to give up earlier "perks" of work and to ask for nothing more than the pickings from the cullum. Most left their "mark,". Some of the surname spellings are questionable but that is how they were recently transcribed.

Interested in the original source material for this information - have Shaw ancestors in Castlecomer

Dear Esther, Hi. Data (as is) was provided to me by an Aussie 2nd cousin of mine who went on a 'genealogy' holiday to Ireland chasing down our Cantwell forbears. Sorry can't be of more help.

As most of them were illiterate, it is likely that SHORE and SHAW are one and the same.
