My ancestor was Henry Wood bn. abt. 1720 in England. May have married Avarilla Belfield. Had 2 known children Belfield b. 1752 and Avarilla b. 1754. Belfield had a son Jesse bn. 1771. Jesse had 4 sons, John b. 1797, Matthew b. 1800, Spencer b. 1802, and my ancestor William Issac b. 1803 in NC married Nancy Bookout. William and Nancy's son George Washington Wood. b. 1846 in Fentress Co. Tn is my direct ancestor. He married Permelia Bow and Abigail Owens. Their son Oliver Cleveland Wood b. 1892 was my grandfather. Would love to find out about Henry and if he was related to Samuel Wood b. 1737 in England.
