Hi Summers,

I rather think that we may be related. The Robert Taylor you refer to was my father, who sadly passed away six years ago.
On my father's birth certificate his father is Michael Taylor, address: Simpson's Hostel, High Lane Row, Hebburn.
His mother is: Ellen Lydon, formerly Scanlon. Address: 23, Prince Consort Road, Hebburn.
Mt mother has always maintained that my father's parents were never married and this seems to confirm it (at least at the time of my father's birth).
So, I think we share a grandmother in Ellen Scanlon/ Lydon/ Taylor.
I remember my father's sister Ellen (my auntie Nellie) and vaguely remember my father's half brother Tommy Lydon (although I only met him once in about 1963 when I was very young).
My mother (Robert Taylor's wife) is now very elderly at 86 and at present in hospital, but I'll try and find some more details from her about my dad's family.
Hope this is of some help or interest. If you want to contact me I'm sure I can provide more information on our branch of the family tree that may fill in some of the gaps.
Nice to meet someone who may be my distant cousin.

Bob.

Hi Bob,

Looks like you have indeed found a distant cousin. I have sent you a private mssge to your inbox, asking a few questions regarding our family links.
Meanwhile pass on my blessings to your mother and sister...
Cheers Summer
