Looking for Smiths from Van Wert Co and Lucas Co, Ohio. Marion E Smith born 1865, married to Christina (Christena) Fredlein. He died around 1937? by self inflicted gunshot in Fort Recovery Ohio. They had three daughters, Mary Louise, Martha and Doris. Also raised a daughter of Mary's (Mabel Anneve Smith, born April 8, 1905) I haven't found any record of her birth but believed it was in Lucas Co, Ohio. She was my grandmother. Marion had a brother named Grant Smith. All I have found on him was a newspaper clipping in Van Wert about the two of them being charged with theft of a grocery store in 1898 or 99 and both were found not guilty. My copy of that clipping was lost but I think Grant possibly had a son, Orval (not sure of spelling)
