Am reviving my Co of Wexford research for webisode #8 of Part One of my series "By Her Roots" for Rootstelevison.com and my youtube channel which will lead me to Part Two in Ireland.

William Johnson b 1760 with son Lawrence b 1792 and Andrew Scallion b 1790 all from County of Wexford show up in Nova Scotia buying land in 1802 just after the 1798 rebellion. Were they rebels or loyalists and what all were they escaping. Have not found any records of anyone else arriving with them just William and the two boys but Andrew's parents were listed on his marriage record as Joseph Scallion and Margaret Doyle.

My researcher in Dublin found only one marriage record for a Joseph Scallion and Margaret Doyle dated 1783 at the Cross of Ballysheen in parish of Carne Co of Wexford. their 5 children were born and/or baptized there or Butlerstown parish of St Ibers. One was born in 1790 but his name was William. If he came alone with William Johnson and his son Lawrence maybe he changed his name to his middle name to lessen confusion? Am researching all wexford church ruins in these areas.

Surnames: DOYLE JOHNSON SCALLION
