Grandmother was Johannah Cleary. She grew up in the north Bronx then Yonkers, New York in the time frame of 1880's through 1970.
She was one of 13 children. She had a sister named Nell and a brother named Raymond. She was raised Catholic but in the eqarly 1900's she ran away and married Edwin Williams who was not Catholic. The Cleary family disowned her and other than Raymond and Nell she had no contact with the Cleary family. After her marriage, she and Edwin moved to Mt. Vernon, New York. Johannah had seven children with Edwin and all but one have passed. She spoke some Gaelic and said her family migrated here from Waterford County, Ireland. Her sister Nell remained in Yonkers and had several children including a set of twin girls. Raymond Cleary also remained in Yonkers. Any information would be helpful.
