Hi,

May I make a suggestion that if your person is deceased than you could tell us their name, give date of birth, and place, plus where they lived.

I did some indexing for familysearch and I remember tying some census records that indicated that they lived on a reserve and it mentioned what tribe they were from.
This could be a place to start. Plus, you can look in your phone book to see if there is any society or organization that is for native people. Please forgive me but there is a more proper name to address those of Indian decent but my mind is blank at the moment. I do not wish to offend anyone.

Best wishes in your research.

I would search this site first to see if you can find the person you are looking for on any of the Native American Rolls, a free search site is at: http://www.accessgenealogy.com/native/finalroll.php. At the bottom of the page is the different Rolls you can search. Also there are Indian Census you can check. Good luck.
