AUSTRALIA: 1885 Return of Landholders - Gerringong Area, New South Wales

"...In 1885, all landholders in NSW were required to submit a return showing the extent of their land and stock holdings. These returns were organised by Police District.

The list which follows contains all those entries recorded in the Kiama Police District which relate to properties in the Gerringong area. It is the closest thing available to a census of the area at that time.

The original return is available at the NSW Archives Office, and copies can be purchased on microfiche..."
