Looking for a Baptism for James William DENNER 1818. Father Richard c1785

Query by jp4216

A direct ancestor of mine is James William DENNER 1818 who came to Australia. His family originates from Lamerton & Lifton.
His Australian record says he was born in Newton Abbot but that is likely to be very approximate. More likely Stoke Climsland or Travistock or Launceston district.
So far not found in OPC data available.

James Married Mary Ann PINE/PYNE 4/4/1841 Stoke Climsland. Their 1st child Richard born & died 1841 Living Higher Hampt, Stoke Climsland.
2nd child Lavina or Levina (Reg. Tavistock 9 482 as Selina, but that is a miss read entry to the Quarterly Index). Bapt. not found.

Lavina came with James & Mary Ann to Australia & is my Great Grandmother. John Pethybridge

Dear jp4216, I've never yet found a baptismal record for James William DENNER. I know his marriage date but not what Church they were married in.

Alison
DENNER/DINNER descendant.

Hi Ally. Where did you get the date details of the Marriage from? I have added lots of Pine & Denner to Rob's GR.
Regards John

A lady in England via the rootschat.com website physically did a lookup at the CRO and found:-

"...Marriages - Stoke Climsland
James DENNER, Labourer married Mary Ann PINE, 04th. April, 1841. Both of full age. Bachelor & Spinster. Both made their marks.
Fathers: Richard Denner - Labourer & Richard Pine - Labourer. ..."

Rob is on Facebook by the way.
