George Francis Morgan is buried at Cheltenham Pioneer Cemetery after dying at the Melbourne Home and Hospital for the Aged at Cheltenham (now Kingston Hospital). John Joseph was his older brother. Parents names shown are incorrect. According to George's death certificate parents were John Joseph Morgan and Bridget Halliday. I am presently researching George for a military tour being conducted at Pioneer. George served with the 1st Australian Pioneer Battalion and was awarded the Military Medal for gallantry. His AIF record lists brother John Joseph of Jack's Creek as his contact. John Joseph married Ellen Nora O'Neill in 1913, but not sure if any of the other Jack River Morgans are related, probably not.
From Public Records Office Wills - not sure why two different dates as will not open:
John Joseph MORGAN. Date of grant: 26 Jun 1961; Date of death: 08 Apr 1961; Occupation: Retd Farmer; Residence: Clayton, John Joseph MORGAN. Date of grant: 26 Jun 1961; Date of death: 08 May 1961; Occupation: Retired Farmer; Residence: Clayton
Hope that helps.
