I don't know if this will help much or not, but there is a long line of Parsons in Jefferson county Alabam. The earliest I've seen is a Dr. Sam Parsons, 1795-1887. His son, John B. Parsons, married into the Bell family.

As a matter of fact, there is a Zack (Zachery) Parsons I am try to connect to one of my family members This Zack was born about 1837, and according to a 1900 census, was still living in Jefferson Co Alabama.

Almost forgot, Dr Sam Parsons' wife was Susan Powers, and may have come from South Carolina.

I would likn to know if this helps, one way or another. Good luck.

Sorry, But Sam Parsons and his wife both may have come from South Carolina, not just the one.

Joseph Garrett Parsons moved to western Jefferson County from Laurens County in 1817-19. Check out my web site for information on his family. https://sites.google.com/site/parsonsjeffersoncounty
