Im looking for info on Robert Blakely born c1840s/50s from south county Fermanagh. He was married to a lady called Mary Jane Downey. They had 5 children. 3 boys and 2 girls. One of the boys Robert (jr.) emigrated to USA, possibly Chicago. I've only sketchy details and even sketchier dates!!

Hi, If you are still looking for Robert Blakely, I can be of help to you. Bob was my paternal grandmother's first cousin which makes me his first cousin, twice removed. His mother, Mary Jane Downey Blakely and my great-grandmother, Eliza Ann Downey Rixon were sisters. Bob emigrated to San Francisco via New York where he had other Downey relatives living. I knew Bob growing up...his family, the Rixons, and my McDonald family were all very close. If you would like to know more about him, please let me know. Are you related to him?
