looking for brothers Alex & John Greer - brother of James G Greer (1818-1899)

I know that these three were brothers; I have pictures to prove it. Yet, no matter how hard I try I can not find any record of Alex and John. I do not know where or when they were born. Some sources say James was born in Ohio or Pennsylvania - one family record suggests the brothers immigrated together....

James ended up in Emporia Kansas where he owned Greer, Mills, & Co. Livestock.

May I suggest that you tell us who the parents are of James G. Greer to see if their is a connection between the other two, Alex and John.

I do not know who the parents are - unfortunately it stops there - i have lots of family records about life in Ireland and the interweaving of Greers before they came to America, but then it stops.

I can only trace back to James. I have a letter written about how his son "Billy" died in the Civil war. It mentions Alex but not where he lived. Then I have family pictures of the three brothers together.
