Looking for Edward Newton Miller ancestors with lines from PA, OH, IL, MO, and AR.

Query by freda

Edward Newton Miller was born in Ohio on 12-9-1832. According to census records, his father was born in PA and his mother in Ireland. Their names are not known to me. He married Sarah Elizabeth Dunlap in Pike County, IL on 11-10-1853. She was born in Indiana in 1836. Their first 4 children were born in Illinois and then they moved to Missouri and had 4 more children there. They moved to Arkansas and lived out the rest of their lives in Cleburne County, AR. Nothing is known about Sarah's parents other than her father was born in KY and her mother in TN, per census records.

Edward's mother visited them in AR when the children were still young and could not speak very much English. The children were scared of her.

Hello! I am Edward and Sarah are my great great grandparents! My great grandfather was their son, Frances "Frank" Lafayette Miller. I would love any info you have on Edwards family, we were told that his father was a dr and when he and his family settled here in Arkansas that, due to him having some medical knowledge he was known as "Doc" to the others in the area. So glad I happened upon this post of yours just by doing a google search while working on my ancestry! Looking forward to chatting with you, Tracy
