Eva Emily married Henry 'Harry' Fletcher in 1931
- Eva died 31 May 1962 aged 65
- she is buried PLOT 254, BLOCK New Unec at CLAREVILLE cemetery, Carterton

her husband Harry Fletcher died 18 May 1952 aged 72
- he is bured beside her in PLOT 255

so some of the family stayed in the Wairarapa

are you familiar with Carterton ?

Violet Elizabeth had been living at 53 Bannister street MASTERTON
- she was cremated in Palmerston North on 27 May 1872 so she may have died there. BUT, she is buried in Carterton - PLOT 262, at Clareville cemetery WITH 2 year old Myrtle Irene HAYES who died 15 December 1922

You probably know whose daughter Myrtle was

I've been researching this family for a few monhths now. my grandfather died two months before my mother was born so she didn't get to meet him and when he died they never heard from his family again. up until a couple of months ago they didn't even know the names of their fathers brothers and sisters. my nana was a very private person and never spoke of them, so they only have a couple of photos of their dad and would love to find any family that has photos, I'm not sure if Eva Fletcher had children, I have found a death notice on memory tree of France's violet constable nee young, I'm thinking this might of been my grandfathers sister she died 2011 in levin I know she had children but I'm not sure if they still live in the area some of the family names I'm looking for are young,Hayes, dew, stoodley, constable,, Fletcher I also found a photo of an Albert and Minnie Hayes working in a sweet shop in waiarapa, proberly early 1900s im thinking this might of been violets brother. I'm not familiar with carterton I live in south island and I'm not sure who's daughter Myrtle Irene Hayes is and wonder why she was buried with my great grandmother

an Albert William Nowell Hayes was buried 8 July 1939 aged 45 (birth year of 1894) in PLOT 263 at Clareville which is the plot next to Violet & Myrtle
- he was a son of Henry HAYES & Sarah Jane DEW

Scott Hayes Young was only 20 years old (died 13 jan 1943)
- he is buried in PLOT 268 at Clareville so they are all in the same area

I know someone who would be of great help, but she has been unwell of late and hasn't answered any of my emails for awhile. I need to phone her this weekend and if she is up to it she will be able to help us out

In the meantime there are 3 Hayes in Carterton & 14 in Masterton White Pages. Why not phone and ask. Usually people are very helpful when you do
