I have tried to get a birth certificate from Queensland Birth,Death and Marriages they told me she does not exist, as for getting a NSW death certificate, it would be of no use as my husband was the informer and does not know any family history. I have also tried looking at all 4 children's birth certificates to see if they were any differences in her surname as she went under the Pritchard surname.

Dear Kate777, Historical bdms in Queensland can be searched online up to the year 1914. If you wait another six years her details will be found online. Or perhaps other genealogists may have indexes online for this time period. I think that Rootschatters would enjoy this challenge.
