I have traced my ancestry back to this couple that arrived in that county in 1837 from Pennsylvania and of Irish descent. Later giving birth to two boys; first Thomas and Jacob B Milligan (this is my gggrandfather)born Oct.31,1847. The sons both married daughters of Levi Rank of the same county, Jacob Milligan marrying Ellen A. Rank in 1871. They had four sons; Oscar, Erwin Harry, and my ggrandfather Jesse Rank Milligan born Jan.24,1884 at Lock Seventeen, Ohio (both men were registered as farmers during this time period). Jesse married N. Blanche Bailey May 31, 1906 and they gave birth to my grandfather; Earl Bailey Milligan in the year 1911 (I assume in the same county). Earl married Martha Jane Page. I had a conversation with a Page family relative that informed me the Page family men had worked the Pa. RR line. Ther are still many family members still residing in Tuscarawas county to this day. Any information regarding ancesters beyond Thomas Milligan and Margaret (Edgar)Milligan would be appreciated greatly. And hopefully some of this info can be helpfull to another researcher, GOOD LUCK!
