According to census records Miriam (or Mariam) Powell was born in OH about 1822,her father b.in KY, and her mother b. in OH. Did she have any siblings? Who were her parents and grandparents? Aunts or uncles? Can anyone help here?
Miriam m.Benjamin MASTERS in 1840 in Washington Co., OH and gave birth to ten children. Five boys and five girls. She d. Dec 31, 1902 in Liberty Twp., Washington Co., OH.
Of her sons Joshua died in the civil war; Willie died about age 7; Joseph P.who is my gr-grandfather d. 1891; James Anderson d.1887, m. L. Howell; Benjamin L d.1919, m.L.J.Hupp. Of the five dau's., Hannah d. aft 1870; Emily d. abt.1866; Nancy d.1909, m. Moses Shuman; Louisa m.Nathan Pryor; and Mary Elizabeth d. 1920 in Saskatchewan, Canada, m. W.C.Burton. Except for Mary E. this family mostly remained in Washington Co., OH.
