Feilding Star, 20 February 1904 BAER-SKIPPER - At the Primitive Methodist Church yesterday afternoon, Mr Peter Baer, eldest son of the late J. H. Baer, of Waituna West, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Charlotte Sophia Courtney Skipper, eldest daughter of A. J. Skipper, Pohangina
The Rev S. Henderson officiated, assisted by the Rev J. Cocker, from Wanganui.
The bride was given away by Mr Bradley, and attended by three bridesmaids, the Misses E. Smith, L. Baer, and C. Skipper sister Catherine Honeywood Skipper?. Mr Chas. Baer, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a handsome gold brooch. The happy couple left by the 3.30 p.m. train for Napier, where the honeymoon will be spent.

BEACONSFIELD NOTES Mr and Mrs Peter Baer received a royal welcome home from their honeymoon with the usual "tin can" row for two nights. The party finally adjourned to Mr Baer's barn, where dancing was kept up until well into the morning

1905 - 1926 William John Baer
Auckland Star, 29 October 1926 TAUMARUNUI, this day - At the inquest of William John Baer, aged 19, who was found dead at Mokauitu with a rifle alongside his body, a verdict was returned that deceased met his death through a gunshot wound in the chest.
The Coroner told Peter Baer, father of the deceased, who had not reported his son's disappearance, that it was his duty to have instituted a search for the missing boy. He did not think he had acted rightly in nor reporting the matter to the police.
The father said that his son had gone away on previous occasions and had always returned

SISTER'S WEDDING
Mary Baer married George Cashmere Rogers
... A very interesting wedding was solemnised at the residence of Mrs Baer, on Wednesday, the 5th instant. The contracting parties were Mr George Rogers, third son of Mr Rogers, of Eltham, and Miss Mary Baer, youngest daughter of Mrs J. H. Baer. The ceremony was performed by the Rev Olphert, of Feilding, during the morning.
The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr Peter Baer, wore a charming navy blue costume, with a cream silk front, strapped with cream sating. Mr C. Baer acted as best man. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a pretty gold bangle. The happy couple left in the afternoon amid the hearty and sincere congratulation of their relations fro Wanganui, where esteem in which Mr and Mrs Rogers are held in this district will be shown in the hearty welcome which will be accorded them on their home-coming.

After the inquest at Taumarunui on the body of son William in 1926, nothing else is known of the family
Charlotte died 1 Aug 1950 aged 65. She was described as a widow and was buried PRESBYTERIAN DIVISION D Row 24, Plot 27 at Waikumete, Auckland
