Most of his life he was a Street Musician but he was down as a Hawker when he married Ann Grey. In 1871 he was supposed to be a Jute Worker but it also says Blind from Accident. All marriages took place in England and wives No's 1 and 2 are both from Scotland.

My great grandmother Margaret Watt wife No3 was supposed to be born in Stockton-on-Tees and in the 1911 census her brother James was born Gateshead Durham 1879 and he sister Jessie born Liverpool 1892 [wedding cert] 1884 [1911 census]their father John was a Shipwright.
