Searching for Halls of Alabama, North Carolina and Louisisana

Journal by shellbama

My family search began with my Grandfather Crawford Hall born 1921 in Alabama. Crawford married Mary Louise (Effie)Newman of Alabama born 1917. I have much information about these Newman's of Alabama. Crawfords father was Samuel Johnson Hall both names (Samuel and Johnson) were used in Census Data found about him.

Samuel Johnson Hall was born in Alabama Sept 14 1882 and died in 1952 he married Arbella (Belle)Emfinger 1889-1972. They had John Amos(1906), Mattie B (1910), Pauline (1908), Lennie (1919), Doyle (1929)and Crawford (1921).

Samuel Johnson Hall's father was Sam M Hall (1842) born in Alabama and don't know who he married but he had siblings: Ann E, Susan Mildred, Mildred, and William B. The 1850 census has them living in Desoto Louisiana. In the 1860 Census Sam M Hall is not listed so I'm not sure if he passed away or was at war during this time.

Sam M Hall's father was Sam B Hall born in North Carolina in 1806. he married Phebe 1813(don't know the last name but she was from North Carolina as well).

Crawford always said we had indian in our family history but I never knew where the line was created. If you have any information email me a reginamichelle@yahoo.com.
