"Laura Mary Verran - married George Albert Cordes in 1909."

George was a brother of my Grandmother Annie Elisabeth (Mrs H.W. Lloyd). George and Laura had 2 children, Ivy (Mrs Jack Peebles) and Albert. I was born and raised in Thames, and knew them well.
Lloyd Gleeson, New Plymouth NZ.
