Looking forward to the upcoming 400th anniversary of the various arrivals and ensuing events here. We can have a couple of decades of celebrations, almost continual.

Everyone ready for that?

this is surprising. Damaris Sibley Shattuck my 10th gr grandmother born in 1597 was married to Thomas Gardner born in 1592, most likely the son of the one you are talking about?

what is the celebration all about?

Damaris was the last wife of the Thomas who is the subject of the Thomas Gardner Society.

The celebration? Jamestown had Queen Elizabeth over here in 2007 for their 400th. Maine could have had a celebration, then, too.

Starting with Plymouth in 2020, there will be regular arrivals that will be the focus. For us, it's the 1623/24 arrival time of the group at Cape Ann which later moved to the area that became Salem.
