Thomas Kerin left Ireland pre civil war in USA, I am seeking info on him

Question by midget156

His parents were Michael and Margaret Kerin of Ballyvaughan, County Clare Ireland, Thomas went to USA to see if the country was suitable. He wrote home stating the Civil War was iniment andtold the family not to come, so they emigrated to Australia is 1866. Thomas remains a mystery as no one knows what happened to him. Are there any Kerins in America that may be related to this Thomas??? He had six brothers and two sisters, we think he may have been born c1838 in Ballyvaughan, County Clare Ireland, any help would be great.
