Robert was born 13 Aug 1919 in Highland Park, Michigan, son of Charles and Martha NITSCHMANN / NITCHMAN ASHER. He married Carol in Ohio (no city). She was born 25 Dec 1924 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

1. Karen Lee b 22 May 1946 in Ypsilanti. She graduated from junior college with a degree in psychology
2. Robert William b 6 Apr 1950 in Ypsilanti. He is a builder in Clearwater, Florida and is a member of the Methodist Church.

Charles was born 2 Jun 1918 in Washington, D. C. son of Charles and Martha NITSCHMANN/NITCHMAN ASHER. In 1941 he graduated from Michigan State University at East Lansing, Michigan with a major in physical education. During college, Charles played football and was a fullback on the MSU team in the first Orange Bowl game, played in Miami, Florida.

On 24 Aug 1940, Charles married Hilda Marie ROEN in Charlevoix, Michigan where Hilda was born 10 Jan 1919 to Capt. John J. and Anna Marie SKYE ROEN. Capt. ROEN was born in Norway and was the owner of a marine salvage company and fleet of ships which transported construction materials on the Great Lakes.

After their marriage, and WWII, he coached at the high school level. During WWII, he was a Lieutenant in the Navy for 4 yers, serving in the South Pacific and the US.

The family lived in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin where Charles was the owner/operator of a marine construction company and the Chas. Asher & Sons real estate company. They made their home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and summer in Sturgeon Bay. He died in Sturgeon Bay 18 Jan 1993. (SSDI).

In the Fall of 1966, after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Susan was seriously injured in an auto accident which left her blind and brain damaged. Since 1977, she lives in the Devereux Foundation School in Victoria, Texas and Westchester, Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Methodist Church (1986)
3. John ROEN born 17 Nov 1948 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He graduated in 1971 from the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he majored in physical education. John lives at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin whe he is president of the ROEN Salvage Co. founded by his grandfather, Capt John ROEN. He is a member of the Methodist Church and is not married.
4. Stephen Michael born 4 May 1954 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. For 3 years while attending teh University of Arizona at Tucson, Stephen traveled and performed with the "Up With People" organization, in Europe, South America, and throughout the US. He performed with teh group before the King of Spain.
On 23 Aug 1986, Stephen married Rachel Joy KUEHL in Sturgeon Bay. Rachel was born 26 Feb 1951 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, dtr of Dietrich and Hulda POTRATZ KUEHL. Rachel is a dental hygienist who graduated from Madison Area Technical College, Madison, Wisconsin with an Associate's Degree. Stephen is president of Chas. Asher & Sons, a real estate company in Sturgeon Bay where they live. The Ashers are members of the Methodist Church.

Jason was born ca 1914 in Moline, Rock Island, Illinois (no date). He was the son of Frederick and Gertrude May ASHER COX, grandson of that scoundrel Lewis Micajah ASHER.

He graduated form Moline High School. On 11 Feb 1939, he married Bernadine MORRISSEY in Davenport's St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Bernadine was born ca 1918 in Davenport, dtr of James P. and Christine CRIEG MORRISSEY. She graduated from Davenport High School. At their marriage, Reed worked at John Deere Harvester Works in East Moline, Illinois (no burial dates).

This surname is somewhat removed from my tree. I'm posting it to help anyone.

Peter was born 6 Aug 1935 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the 4th son of Paul and Paula SCHLEGEL FRENZEL.

On 25 July 1961, Peter married Laura NEVILLE, born 25 Mar 1937 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, dtr of Philip and Maurene NORTON NEVILLE. Laura graduated in 1959 from teh University of Minnesota in Minneapolis where she received her BA (in ?).

Peter graduated in 1958 from Yale University with a BA, earned his MA from Middlebury College in 1961 and received his Ph.D from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 1968. (no subject areas).

The FRENZELs make their home in Middleton, Connecticut where Dr. Frenzel is a college professor and Laura is a weaver. (1986)

William was elected in 1971 to the United States Congress from the 3rd District in Minnesota as a member of the Independent Republican Party. Dale LINDON, son of Harold LINDON (no mother) in Orlando, Florida. He is a manager of a hotel in Orlando and Pamela is an artist (1986) They had 1 son: William Harrison born 23 Jun 1985 in Orlando.
3. Melissa Lee born 19 Jun 1958 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received her BA from Skidmore College in 1980. She is pursuing a career in financial services in Newton Center, Massachusetts. (1986)

He earned his BSE degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts and his MBA from Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York.

On 15 Feb 1958 he married Kathleen Margaret CULL in Syracuse, New york. She was born 29 Oct 1928 in Syracuse, dtr of Joseph and Mary Ethel SULLIVAN CULL. She received her BS from Syracuse University with a major in Chemistry. She died 9 Dec 2010 in Fairview, Erie, Pennsylvania.

The FRENZELs make their home in Erie, Pennsylvania, where Robert is president of Elgin Electronics, a subsidiary of Combustion Engineering. (1986) They had 4 children all in Syracuse:

4. Michael Andrew born 7 Jun 1965. He graduated in 1987 from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. (1986)

George was born 20 May 1925 in Wynne, Arkansas. He attended local schools and graduated from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock.

He married first, Geneva BOWDEN, in Forest City, Arkansas, dtr of Kara and Ola BOWDEN. (no disposition of marriage). George married Carol COFFIN in Hernando, Mississippi. Carol was born in Wynne, Arkansas, dtr of Cecil and Nora COFFIN. (no marriage dates for either woman)

George served in the Army during WWII and is a member of the Methodist Church in Wynne where he is a farmer. George had 4 children. Mothers unk since I have no marriage or death/divorce dates for either woman.

1. Eve Ann b 7 Feb 1950 at Wynne. She graduated from Hendrix Collee at Conway, Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She married Dennis CURTIS in Wynne. She died 9 Jun 1977 in Little Rock and is buried in Cogbill Cemetery in Wynne.

3. Dorothy Lynne b 1 Apr 1959 in Wynne. Married 28 Mar 1980 Ronald D. Turner, 28 Mar 1980 in Wynne, son of Edgar and Mary Elizabeth SHANKLE TURNER born 10 Mar 1957 in Wynne. Ron is a farmer and Dorothy is a bank teller. Dorothy was Geneva's dtr so we can assume that Eve Ann and Karan were, also.
4. Leigh (no middle) born 16 Apr 1969 in Wynne. In 1986 she was a junior in Wynne High School.

Paula was born 27 May 1899 in Davenport, Scott, Iowa. She was first named Jeanette, but at age 2, her name was changed to Paula, in honor of Paula Schlegel, the deceased sister of her father. Paula attended Davenport schools and graduated with honors from Smith College at North Hampton, Massachusetts.

On 6 Jun 1925, Paula married Paul William FRENZEL at Davenport's Outing Club on Brady St. Paul was the son of William Paul and Mary McKEE FRENZEL born 11 Jun 1896 in St. Paul, Ramsey, Minnesota. He graduated from St. Paul High School and from the University of Minnesota Law School. After serving in the Army during WWI, Paul regurned to St. Paul where he became, at his marriage, vice president of the St. Paul Terminal Warehouse Co.

The FRENZELS made their home in St. Paul, Minnesota where Paul died July 1981. Paula Jeanette lives in Naples Florida. They had 4 children. No death info for Paula.

Lura was born 16 Dec 1923 in Cimarron, New Mexico. She received her Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Colorado at Denver and attended grad schools at the American Conservatory in Chicago, Illinois, California State University at Northridge and Pierce Junior College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She married John IVES HUNGERFORD on 18 Aug 1950 in Cimarron. He was born 14 May 1925 n Hartford, Connecticut, son of Clarence IVES and Helen TAYLOR HUNGERFORD.

John served during WWII in the Army with the infantry in Germany, whee he was taken as a prisoner of war. HE received his BS from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, his Education degree from the University of Southern California at Los Angeles, and tood graduate work at Brigham Young University at Provo, Utah in 1971. He taught grad classes in education at several colleges and served as assistant to one of teh 8 area superintendants in the Los Angeles Public School System. The area is Hispanic and one of the most populated in LA, with schools in session all year. John died 5 Nov 2000 in Woodland Hills, California. (no burial info). No info on Lura.

The HUNGERFORDS make their home in Woodland Hills, California where Lura is a piano teacher and accompanist. They are members of teh Methodist Church. (1986) They had 4 children:

Suzanne was born 19 Jun 1922 in Cimarron, New Mexico, the 4th child in the HAYWARD family.

She graduated rom Cimarron High School and attended Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa where she majored in food and nutrition. She graduated in 1944 with a BS and began work as a dietician in Mizzoula, Montana, and in 1950, served in the same capacity at the Seward TB Sanitarium in Seward, Alaska.

She married George KIMPTON on 17 Jun 1955 in Seward, Alaska, son of Joseph and Clara FURMAN KIMPTON, born 3 Sept 1917 in Escondido, California. He graduated from Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego, California, and attended Armstrong College in Berkley, California.

In 1956, George and Suzanne became partners in their own grocery business with stores in Montague, Rocklin, and Talmage, California. They retired to Redwood Valley, California in 1979. George died 26 Jan 1991 (SSDI). They had 3 children:
1. Kevin Eugene born 5 Apr 1956 in Yreka, California. He graduated from Ukiah High School and received his BA from California State University at Sacramento where he majored in Business Administration and Marketing. Kevin married Korrine Ann MELESKI on 12 Oct 1985 in California. Korrine was born 31 Oct 1954 in Long Beach, California, dtr of Bernard and Theresa MARTIN MELESKI. She graduated form South Lake Tahoe High School. They make their home in South Lake Tahoe, California where Kevin works in construction and Korrine is employed in a dress shop.
2. Lura Winema Kimpton born 19 Jun 1957 in Yreka, California. She graduated from Ukiah High School in 1975 and received her BA and MA degrees from Humbolt State University at Arcata, California. She married James Ardon DOMIANO on 10 Jun 1979 in Arcata. James was born 6 Dec 1952 in Turlock, California, som of Francis and Marion/an HALL DOMIANO.
