SCOTT/COTT

SHIP CREW LISTS.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to look up sailing ship crew lists, or, does anyone have a crew list for the "Blue Jacket" which sailed from London 5th August 1865, arriving Lyttelton 13th November 1865. Thank you for your help.

George Scott ex "Blue Jacket" to Lyttelton New Zealand 1865

The 'Blue Jacket" from London arrived Lyttelton (Port for Christchurch) New Zealand November 1865. Included in the list of Cabin passengers were Mr. George Scott, Miss Jane Scott and Miss Lucy Scott. Can anyone provide information on any of these Scott's.

Scott's - Drumenagh, Co. Londonderry Ireland

Thomas Scott born about 1831 Co. Londonderry, (Probably Drumenagh) married Eliza Lennox 14th October 1856, Artrea Parish Church, Co. Londonderry, Ireland. Brides father, Andrew Lennox. Groom's father, George Scott. Data from FamilySearch.org

I am looking for information on George Scott the father of Thomas. His parents, brothers and sisters. I am trying to link this Thomas with Drumenagh Scott's that I have in my tree http://a.m.scott.tribalpages.com

Thomas was living in house 37 in Drumenagh at the time of the 1901 Census, together with son and daughter, William and Annie. At that time there were other Scott families in Drumenagh who are in my Tribalpages tree. The family names and location make it almost certain that Thomas is related to other Drumenagh Scott's in my tree but I cannot establish the exact link.

A full list of Thomas's and Eliza's children, all born Drumenagh, is as follows. Mary Jane b 6 Nov. 1857. Sarah b 15 Jan. 1859. Elizabeth b 17th may 1861. George b 21 Dec. 1862. Andrew b 6 Dec 1864. John b 21 Nov.1866. Thomas James b 17th Feb 1869. Annie b about 1871

George Scott & Elizabeth Vickers, Christchurch, New Zealand

I live in Christchurch, New Zealand. I am particularly interested in reseaching the origin of, and descendants of, George Scott and Elizabeth Vickers who arrived in Christchurch, New Zealand, probably about 1865. Elizabeth's Death Certificate in 1922, states they were married in New Zealand but there is no official record of this marrage. George died in 1877 with the oldest of six children, age eleven. They had two sons, Alfred Vickers Scott who married Grace Woolcock (ex Cornwall) and George Litson Scott who married Beatrice Mills. The daughter's married into the following families - Hull, Ball, Harris, Homes. The information of most interest, that I hope to obtain, is the origin of George and Elizabeth. Information on their Death Certificates does not help much. It is possible that George worked his passage as a ships steward as this is his occupation as shown on the Birth Certificate of their first child Emily, born 1866).
