Fitzpatrick in New Zealand - Wellington and Christchurch
James Michael Fitzpatrick was my maternal gf, born Christchurch c1880. I am researching the cemeteries for the ChCh connection at the moment and library for further info on siblings etc. He moved to Wellington as he married Julia McKeowen there (no date). He died in Palmerston North 10 Jun 1938. They had 4 children: Catherine, Thomas, James Gerard, Patrick who all lived/worked round the Wellington and Manawatu areas. There's cemetery records in ChCh for a James Fitzpatrick d 21 Aug 1920, age 85, born in Ireland and a Catherine Fitzpatrick d 28 Sep 1948 age 87 born in Ireland. Any links/info would be appreciated.

My paternal gm was Rachel Davis PICKETT (her cemetery record gives her middle initial as J)b 1878, Brisbane Waters, Gosford, NSW, Australia, d 23 Mar 1939, Dannevirke, NZ. Married James Logan PARROTT (b 3 Dec 1885, Cassilis, NSW) at Sydney, Aus in 24 Nov 1909. They had 6 children: Francis (my father), Martin, Patrick, Jim, Connie, Margaret.
Looking for McKeowen in New Zealand
My maternal gm was Julia McKEOWEN b 1881 d 5 Sep 1961, Palmerston North, NZ. She married James Michael FITZPATRICK b 1880, d 10 Jun 1938, Palmerston North. They had 4 children Thomas, James, Patrick, Catherine(Brenda). The early years of the marriage were in Wellington. But I believe the McKeowens origins were in the Taihape NZ area. Julia, I think, had 2 sisters (?Molly and ?Nora). These are the bare facts I know of both g'parents.
