She had a sister Winnfred who married a John Mallee.
Bridget died 1-10-1905 in Altoona and is also buried in Calvary cemetery. (see my Herbert journal for more info on Bridget)

Patrick was the only child of Margaret.
Father had first wife before Margaret,and sons who immigrated to Maryland prior to second marrage.

They had five children before immigrating to America.
Rumor has it when the kids started speaking with a Scottish accent they decided to come to America!
Bridget had a sister named Winefred and a husband John Mallee who immigrated to PA before Patrick and Bridget. They settled in Houtzdale Pa and had at least 10 children. John was a coal miner. Kids: Ellen,Mary,Margaret,John,Peter,James,Patrick,William,Richard and Thomas Mallee
.Patrick came first with his eldest son Thomas 5-2-172 on the ship Anglia out of Glasgow Scotland. He then sent for his wife Bridget, the children and his widowed mother Margaret. They came on the ship Columbia out of Glasgow Scotland. Ports of arrival were both New York. They settled in Altoona Pa. Patrick went to work on the railroad and they had 10 children in all.
1.Thomas Gratton Herbert born 6-25-1859. 2.James C. Herbert born 5-6-1861. 3.Margaret Gertrude Herbert born 10-3-1864. 4.My great grandpa, John Bernard Herbert born 12-17-1866. 5. Mary Herbert born 1869. 6.Paul Patrick Herbert born 5-10-1872. 7.Anna Herbert born 1875. 8.Katherine Augusta Herbert born 1879. 9.Joseph Herbert born 1879 10.Lillian Herbert born 1883.
Patrick became a citizen 10-2-1877. He died 6-28-1906 in Altoona Pa
Bridget died 1-10-1905 in Altoona and is also buried in Calvary cemetery.I have connected with a few living relatives of Patrick and Bridget's children. Someday I will have to go to Ireland!
