Grey River Argus, 18 September 1908 A PRETTY WEDDING
SEABROOK-DAVIDSON - A wedding which elicited considerable interest, was celebrated at All Saints Church yesterday afternoon, the contacting parties being Mr Fred C. Seabrook, only son of Mr Charles Seabrook, a well-known Greymouth citizen, and Miss Jean Davidson, sister of Mrs Charles Evans of Hokitika. The Rev H. S. Leach celebrated the marriage. The bride was dressed in cream silk voile with trimmings of Limerick lace, wearing the customary wreath and veil. She was attended by Miss Ruby Bock and Ellen Urquhart, Miss Bock wearing a pretty dress of cream cloth with chiffon and Oriental trimmings, and a hat with silk trimmings, while Miss Urquhart looked equally well in a white dress and picture hat trimmed with wreaths of daisies.
The bride was given away by her brother-in-law, Mr C Evans, and Mr H. Hambleton, of Greymouth, attended the bridegroom as best man. Mr James Davidson (brother of the bride) acting as groomsman. After the wedding ceremony a large number of guests were entertained at the residence of Mr and Mrs C Evans, when the usual toasts were honoured. Mr and Mrs Seabrook left last evening for Wellington, via Christchurch, where the honeymoon is to be spent. We join with their many friends in wishing them all happiness in their future life The numerous handsome presents received by the happy couple testified to the esteem in which they are held by a large circle of friends.
