WEDDING On February 12th Miss Phoebe Annie Higgins, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs P. Higgins, of Greymouth, was married to Mr Leonard Francis True, of Lower Hutt and son of Mr and Mrs O. E. True of Feilding. The ceremony was performed at St Augustine's Church, Petone, by the Rev G. B. Stephenson. The bride, who was given away by Mr Paul Sydow, wore a dress of white Chinese silk, with a yoke of tucked net and trimmed with silk insertion and a fringed overskirt. She also wore a bridal wreath and veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses, sweet peas, maidenhair and asparagus ferns. She also wore a diamond brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridesmaids were Miss Brunelle and Miss Higgins, sister of the bride, who were in white embroidered muslin frocks with overall lace and large white hats wreathed with pink roses. They carried bouquets of white roses and maidenhair fern and were the recipients from the bridegroom of gold brooches, set with amethysts, Mr H. V. Westbury acted as best man.
