Feilding Star, 3 May 1919 Mr W. J. N. Blaxall, who has been a popular figure in banking and social circles in Feilding during the past six years, has retired from the service of the Bank of New South Wales on a well-earned pension. Mr Blaxall entered the Bank's service 40 years ago and for 30 years had a large and varied experience on the goldfields of the West Coast of the South Island. He was transferred to Feilding from Westport and it is a coincidence that his successor in Feilding, Mr F. Fish, is also coming from Westport. Mr and Mrs Blaxall have been closely identified with the social, patriotic and other phases of Feilding's life, and have actively participated in the S.P.C.A. work and in the Barnado Homes funds. Their many friends will wish Mr and Mrs Blaxall a long and enjoyable life in their retirement. It is understood that they will live in Wellington
Evening Post, 12 March 1945
