Urwin family arrive in NZ.

John Thomas Urwin and wife Mary Ann - nee - Harrogate first arrived in NZ on ss"Tongariro" in 1886, accompanied by their then 2 children, Mary Ann (Polly) and Robert Harrogate Urwin. A third child, George, was born in NZ but died in 1887. Born in Brunner NZ was Ellen in 1889. They returned to England in 1890 on the SS "Tongariro" where John Thomas Urwin died. A third son, also called George, was born in England. Mary Ann returned to NZ with the four children, on SS "Coptic", landing in Wellington 22/9/1892.
Ellen Urwin married John Henry Frederick Richards at Foxton, NZ on 16/10/1916. John henry Frederick Richards died 18th November 1918. Ellen subsequently Married Taare Rangikauwhata of Waikanae, NZ (Commonly known as Charlie Rangi. He adopted Ellen's children as his own as his children were adults at that time.

Remember me - we communicated over this family when I was still living in Australia about 6 or 7 years ago - just after my grand-daughter who is descended from these people was born. You are a cousin of sorts to Nola Dalton/Edwards/Gourley and my grand daughter's mum is Nola's grand-daughter. We are still trying to figure this lot out.
