Bonnie_Seymour on Family Tree Circles

I had family that once lived in this area and all that I know have has left the area and then I landed here. Recently I mentioned the Highsmith name to some people that were around here during prohibition times when my family was here and they seem to recall the Highsmith being connected somehow with the Shelton gang that used to run southern Illinois. I was wondering if anyone out there can confirm or deny this. It would be greatly appreciated.
