looking for parents of Thomas ORMISTON B22 May 1853 at Crofthead, Glasgow, Scotland and his wife Mary Ann CAMPBELL b02 Dec 1858 at Dundee, Angus, Forfarshire, Scotland. Her parents are Thomas Rattray CAMPBELL b1823 at Glenisla, Forfarshire and Martha DOUGLAS b1831 at Forfarshire. Mary Ann always told her Grand daughter (my mother) that a black DOUGLAS should never have married a DOUGLAS. Does anyone know what she meant?
Also mary Ann's brother Stewart Robertson CAMPBELL b 23 Mar 1873 was assistant Station Master in London at the time of Jack the Ripper. Is there any way of confirming this?
