Jonas L. Gipson husband of Eliza Louisa Walker

According to the 1867 Loyalty Oath and Voting Register of Winston Co. Alabama Jonas L. Gipson was born April 21, 1827 in Burke Co., NC. He married Eliza Louisa Walker in May 1847 in Gilmer, GA; They moved to Winston/Cullman County, Alabama after the war; joining her family there. After 1880 they moved to Sebastian Co. Arkansas. Jonas and Eliza are buried in Atkins City Cemetery, Pope Co. AR.

I am searching for the family of Louisa's brother, William who married Elizabeth Nelson and left Winston County about 1873. These are James W. Walker, born 1860; Elizabeth C. Walker born 1862, twins Jonathan J and Mary J. Walker born 1866; Lucinda J. Walker born 1868 and Sarah F. Walker born 1870.

Looking for father of William Walker born abt 1790 Rutherford NC

Documented facts about this family are:
William (Sr)age 55 and wife Mary age 40 were in Gilmer Co. GA in 1850; William (Sr)and last wife, Elizabeth Cosper, were in Winston Co. AL before 1870 and 1880 with their younger children: Sarah, Mary, Margaret, Eliza Caladonia and James. His married children and their families included son William (Jr) and wife Mary Ann Vaughn; son Jonathan and wife Martha Jane Powell, dau Frances Walker Gipson and husband, Jonas L. Gipson.

The 1867 Loyalty Oath and Voting Register of Winston Co. Alabama shows William Walker (Sr) was born 25 Dec 1790 in Rutherford Co. NC. Although his DOB is different in census records, this should be correct since it is a sworn statement. His son William (Jr) was born 15 Mar 1820 in Cocke Co. TN and his son Jonathan was born Aug 3, 1840 in Bunscombe, NC. Both William (Jr) and Jonathan fought in the 1st Alabama Calvary during the Civil War. Another son, ELijah Walker, age 22 in 1850 did not move to Alabama with the family.

Most of these family members rremained in Alabama. One exception is Jonas L. Gipson, who married Eliza Louisa Walker in May 1847 in Gilmer, GA; joined the Confederacy in Georgia. Gipson also signed the 1867 document in Winston Co. stating he was born April 21, 1827 in Burke Co., NC. After 1880 this family moved to Sebastan Co. Arkansas. Jonas and Eliza are buried in Atkins City Cemetery, Pope Co. AR.

The wife of William Jr died in 1871 at the birth of their 8th child. He remarried and took 7 children westward, leaving the baby, Hulda Christine, with her grandparents. The graves of William Jr and Elizabeth Nelson Walker are believed to be found in Water Valley, MS. The oldest son, Sidney, returned to Winston Co.

No information of other children have been found. These are James W. Walker, born 1860; Elizabeth C. Walker born 1862, twins Jonathan J and Mary J. Walker born 1866; Lucinda J. Walker born 1868; and Sarah F.Walker born 1870.

I am hoping for a clue about these lost family members.
