David Duncomb was born in England c1748 and spent many years as a planter, magistrate and militia officer in Jamaica. He married Eleanor Winter in England in 1783 and returned to Jamaica where David Jnr (1784) and Benjamin (1785) were born. Eleanor & Benjamin died in 1786. David Jnr married Mary Ann Wright in England c1813 and they migrated with 3 children to Sydney Australia in 1822. They had 7 more children in Australia.
